Principal's Message
Welcome to Spalding Drive Elementary!
I am Jennifer Rosenthall, the proud principal here at SDE. I actually began my journey at SDE as a classroom teacher in 2001. I served as a teacher and Instructional Support Teacher within the building before venturing to new buildings to grow myself as a leader. During that time, I served as an assistant principal and principal in the Alpharetta cluster. I came back to SDE in 2021 as the principal and have loved every minute of returning home. I attended Syracuse University for my undergraduate degree and then Georgia State University for my Masters in Education (focus on Multiple/Severe Disabilities) and Specialist in Educational Leadership. I have an amazing family that includes my husband Jeremy, 2 energetic boys Dylan and Charlie, and sweet dog Ryder. We live in the Dunwoody area and can often be found at the ballpark. I am passionate that every child has the right to learn and be challenged in the way that is appropriate for them as an individual. I believe in a high level of accountability and the collective commitments that we make as a community as we partner to benefit all students.
SDE is an amazingly unique school within the Fulton County School System. Our small population allows us to intimately know each of our students and help support them to reach their full potential. SDE has strong community support, an outstanding reputation for success, and a focus on developing the whole child. When you walk into SDE my hope is that you feel the passion and positive energy that we embrace each day with.
I look forward to continuing the work of growing our students, celebrating our achievements, and building community ties. I am committed to serving the students, staff members, and our community.
